SUCCESS STORIES & FEEDBACK
Real recovery stories from individuals who took control of their mobility and reclaimed their active lifestyles.

GRANT V.
Ex-AFL umpire and elite runner. 203 AFL games and 109 WAFL games.
After being a runner my entire life, including marathons and Ironman triathlons, I seemed to hit a wall in my mid-50’s. My left leg was hurting and it felt like I had lost all rhythm when I ran. Then Melissa (our eldest daughter) asked me to run the Melbourne half-marathon with her. I was desperate to be able to cross that finish line together.
The simple and easy-to-follow program you guided me through got me going again and brought back the flow and pleasure of running. Melissa leapt into my arms and screamed “We did it!!” as we crossed the finish line inside the MCG. Thanks to you Tom, we have a memory to treasure forever.
TRIXIE
Patient who regained independence and mobility post-fusion surgery.

In December 2023 at the age of 73 and having suffered constant and in the end debilitating pain in the lower back, I finally had fusion surgery of the L3/L4 level in my spine, this was successful. In March 2024 my Chiropractor recommended Tom of Ultimate Movement to me for exercises as part of my recovery. I had been going to exercise classes for nearly 8 years prior but ceased going due to my level of pain as mentioned above.
Tom explains each exercise and the benefits and the importance and in a very interesting and easy way to understand. These exercises have been quite different to what I had been used to in my group class. The strength I have gained and general improvement in my overall health has allowed me to remain independent and able to go back to doing most things I used to do before. I never dreamt I would be doing bench presses, but I am! It’s been a while since Tom introduced me to bench presses and it took a while for me to realise how much lighter on my feet I felt afterwards. Since I first started exercising 10 or so years ago, I have never been able to do lunges, now thanks to Tom, I can. I don’t love them, but I can do them! I do feel very proud that I can do them but it’s only thanks to Tom. He is extremely patient and very supportive. He is able to recognise any apprehension that I may occasionally have with a new exercise and gently talk me through it. Simple things like being able to wash my hair with both hands instead of only one. The strength gained on my dominant side is amazing.
In the early days I needed a rest after my session but now I can just get on with my day. I see Tom twice a week and always leave feeling so much better both physically and mentally. I would wholeheartedly recommend Tom to anyone looking to become stronger, improve their physical health and their general overall health and wellbeing.
